Note-perfect Pink Floyd tribute and light show coming to Plymouth and Amherst
After a brief hiatus, New England's own Pink Floyd cover band is back on the road. Pink Voyd will be playing Plymouth Memorial Hall on Friday and Saturday, April 17 and 18. Tickets start at $22.50 and are on sale now.
Pink Voyd's eerily familiar voices and amazing synth sounds have thrilled audiences from Six Flags to the Hard Rock Café. "I thought that I was actually listening to the real band," said fan Howie B. of a recent show.
The band may be true to Pink Floyd's sound, but their own excellent musicianship still shines through. Band members switch instruments from song to song, sometimes even playing more than one instrument at a time. They also play without a click track, allowing them to create the pregnant pauses and tempo changes characteristic of the original Floyd's music. Says one fan of seeing them live, "It was one of the best shows I have ever seen. I really think Pink Floyd themselves would have to commend you on how well you represent them."
With original Floyd props, professional theatrics, and opportunities for audience participation, Pink Voyd recreates the experience of a Pink Floyd show to a T. The upcoming shows, featuring a 15-foot circular video screen hovering over the stage, nearly 30 robotic lights, and classic Floyd-style lasers manned by a specialist just returning from the world Rush tour, are sure to be memorable.

The members of Pink Voyd have been playing Floyd music for decades, and re-creating it together since 2002.
